Visitors to the mainland of the People's Republic of China must obtain a visa from one of the Chinese diplomatic missions unless they are citizens of one of the visa-exempt countries.
There are several visa options for attendees. We strongly recommend that you first explore visa-free entry, transit visas, or a tourist (L) visa before considering an F visa. If you have further questions, please consult your nearest Chinese embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date guidance.
Holders of ordinary passports from eligible countries may enter China without a visa for short-term visits.
Citizens of ~55 countries can transit through China visa-free when traveling onward to a third country:

Chinese visa processing may take a few weeks. Participants are strongly encouraged to apply at least TWO months ahead of their departure date to allow sufficient time for processing and visa issuance.
